Financial Year 2020-21 Financial Year 2020-21 began with the pandemic Covid-19 affecting everyone in the country. It has changed life, lifestyles, and working mechanism across the globe. It affected our work. But, human civilization has been resilient and has always overcome challenges. Though there has been lots of discussions about the development of the vaccination, but it will take some time. We are hugely concern about pandemic-related deaths.

This is Annual Report of Centre for Alternative Dalit Media (CADAM) for the finance year 2019-20. In this year, CADAM has completed 30 years of its development journey among the most marginalized population of India. During these years, we have worked with various NGOs and Civil Society Organizations (CSO) led by marginalized communities and created many alternative models in the field of education, livelihood, leadership development, nutrition and health and engagement with private sector. However, this year was a year of excitement and learning for our team who have worked persistently to promote education, entrepreneurship, and empowerment.

This financial year at Centre for Alternative Dalit Media began with a multiple challenges. One of our founders and Chief Executive Officer Ms Rajni Tilak died on 30th March 2018 in hospital. Her untimely and sudden death left the organisation leaderless.  rganisation and its board never felt so much strained, as it in 2018-19. All of a sudden turmoil gripped the organisation. I am thankful to the board for electing me as Secretary and steer the organisation through this crisis.

BridgeIT project was created to address challenges of the digital divide between urban and rural areas. Computer-aided education remains a remote possibility, with the digital world far from their reach. Hence the project was envisioned to address the digital divide that exist in rural and urban confines and marginalised section inhabiting the rural India to address this divide…

CADAM with support of Action Aid India have been implementing the project “Nyay Kiran” for improving peoples’ control over resources like land, water, forest, coast, minerals,
commons and livelihoods in Rai block of Sonipat, Pundri block of Kaithal district. The project also focus on promoting the process of democratization of the society, economy and polity at all levels, assertion of Women and girls’ Rights as Human Rights and children are recognized as political and equal citizens…
